On August 27, the e-cigarette Industry Committee of China electronics chamber of Commerce organized a group standard review meeting of general technical specifications for atomized e-cigarette devices and safety technical specifications for electronic atomizing liquid in Shenzhen. With the organization of the Committee and the joint efforts of 40 drafting units for half a year, the two group standards were successfully approved and reported at the meeting after technical examination and approval by the evaluation committee.
Group standards have been upgraded again, and the industry has entered a stage of higher requirements
Previously, 90% of the world's electronic cigarette equipment manufacturers were in China, and the main export markets of products were the United States and the European Union, which adopted EU and American standards. In order to fill the gap in the field of e-cigarette group standards in China, China's first e-cigarette group standard proposed by the e-cigarette Industry Committee of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce and drafted by more than 10 enterprises in the industry was released in Shenzhen on December 20, 2017.
The group's standards include the general specification for electronic smoke atomizer products and the specification for electronic smoke chemical solution. The e-cigarette group standard specifies the general safety requirements, finished product requirements, experimental methods, labels, identification, packaging, transportation and storage requirements of e-cigarette products. It is mainly applicable to the production, test, inspection and management of e-cigarette products.
With the continuous development and progress of the industry, the rise of the domestic market, the return of some brands, and the continuous renewal and iteration of products, the industry will also usher in more authoritative and standardized standards. After six months of group standard revision, under the organization of the committee, 40 units jointly drafted the general technical specification for atomized electronic cigarette device and the safety technical specification for electronic atomizing liquid.
The standard will guide and supervise the production, test, inspection, management and service of the industry, and better serve enterprises to adapt to the development and changes of the industry in the future, including protecting minors, improving quality and safety, safeguarding consumers' rights and interests and improving international competitiveness. The two group standards successfully passed the review, marking that the domestic electronic atomization industry has entered a stage of higher standards and higher requirements.

It is understood that the group standard review meeting was organized by the e-cigarette Industry Committee of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce in Shenzhen. The review committee is composed of seven experts, including Xu Xiaodong, an expert of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, Liu Yufeng, full-time vice president of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, Wang Yiqun, director of industrial standard Innovation Institute of Shenzhen Institute of standard technology Yu Shuyuan, researcher of Shenzhen Customs industrial products testing technology center, Shen Jimeng, director of quality and Technology Department of Shenzhen Branch of China Quality Certification Center, Wang Weijun, doctoral supervisor of Shenzhen Institute of advanced technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Lu Shaoyou, Professor of School of public health, Sun Yat sen University, and ou Junbiao, chairman of electronic cigarette industry committee of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce, Executive vice presidents Yao Jide, Huang Guihua and main representatives of the standard drafting unit. The meeting was chaired by AO Weinuo, Secretary General of the electronic cigarette industry committee of China Electronic Chamber of Commerce.
At the meeting, President ou Junbiao said that the Committee has always attached great importance to the construction of e-cigarette standardization and carried out it as a core work. With the organization of the Committee and the joint efforts of all drafting units, the group standard revision, which lasted for half a year, has completed the standard initiation, drafting, discussion, solicitation of opinions and standard modification and improvement according to the procedures and plans, and now enters the stage of expert review.
Wang Xin, leader of the drafting group of general technical specifications for atomized electronic cigarette devices, assistant to the chairman of Shenzhen mcwell Technology Co., Ltd., and Yang Yong, quality director of Shenzhen fog core technology Co., Ltd., one of the lead writers, safety technical specifications for electronic atomizing liquid Zhao Yan, the leader of the drafting group and vice minister of the light industrial products and chemical materials testing division of Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and quality testing, reported to the participating review experts on the contents of the draft for review, the preparation instructions and the treatment results in the comment stage of the group standard.
The review committee listened carefully to the report of the standard drafting group on the contents of the standard, the compilation of the standard and related information, and strictly examined the technical content and format of the submitted group standards (the draft). The standard clauses were carefully discussed and inquired from the standpoint's standardization, scientificity, advanced nature, feasibility and rationality. The main members of the standard drafting group answered the questions raised by the review committee.
Xu Xiaodong, an expert of China electronics chamber of Commerce, spoke highly of and fully affirmed the enthusiasm and professionalism of the standard drafters. He said that the standard has played a positive role in standardizing and promoting the development of the e-cigarette industry. After discussion and decision of the review committee, it is agreed to submit the draft for approval to China electronics chamber of commerce through technical examination and approval of the two standards.
